Clock spring questions

Ok my airbag light is giving me code 6. According to everything I've read code 6 is a bad clock spring. Problem is everything I've read also says if you have a bad clock spring your cruise and horn won't work either well my cruise and horn both work. I have a chance at getting a steering wheel and airbag off another car in like new condition compared to mine. Would getting this help or not. Any help on the matter would be greatly accepted

I don't think it is. All of them I've seen have a hole in the middle for the steering shaft to go through.
Whatever that is, it might controlled by and connected to the clock spring.
I'd bet it is deeper down in your steering column.

I could not locate one for your car, only the 94-95 Mustangs showed up in searches.

If you locate it I did find a couple of videos that show how they work and how to test and repair them.

Works

Test

Repair

Thanks now I'm just confused about what would be making my air bag light come on flashing that the clock spring is bad even tho my horn and cruise control works.

It could still be the clock spring. There can be several circuits within it and it may be that only the air bag circuit is affected in your case.
