351w or cleveland swap on 88 fox

Im just looking for info, what other mods do i have to make so i can fit this engine on my fox body. Can i use the same T-5? Headers? Do i go carb or EFI? Any help is appreciated

definatly windsor! the aftermarket parts are way more plentiful.you will need 351 swap headers and probably an oil pan.and you are probably gonna want to stay efi.if you havent already done it i would swap to MAF.

Thanks good advice, i thought so but what about the transmission? Will it bolt on?

Any transmission that will bolt on to a 5.0/302 will bolt on to a 351W.

I do believe the 351 has a balance of 28 oz like the early 302/289. The 302 after '85 has a balance of 50 oz. The wrong flywheel or flexplate will ruin the bearings in no time. Also to lower the 351 use the convertible motor mount; they're an inexpensive alternative and easy to get for under 40.00.
