Now I just gotta figure out clear or smoked headlights lol. Thinking clear since it a light color w/ polished wheels?

Looks good, I like the clear headlights better personally on the lighter colors.

Re: My new fox

Clear lights ordered, need to put a new balancer on it has a slight wobble to it.

An they not gt40 heads after looking in better light, they alum but cant see stampings on end cuz if ps bracket being moved for ac delete, etc. So im thinking its the whole edelbrock top end kit, hard to say without verification tho. Ill yank the pass valve cover one day an look

Most Edelbrock aluminum heads are stamped on the ends, maybe you can use a mirror to see the back ends?

I know how you feel. But any old car like that you buy your bound to have to do a major tune up on it anyway...

Maybe those ignition components haven't been changed for a while.

Re: My new fox

Thats what im hoping, ordered new cap/rotor,plugs,wires yesterday. Im hoping the msd box didnt get fried from it being put in engine bay. Gonna start moving that around today. Oddest thing happened yesterday, went to change belt pulled in yard, turned off car an fuel pump kept running. So if tuneup dont work ill start checking the fuel system. Looks to be stock 19lb injectors an cant read what maf calibrated for wondering if it mismatched. Car might just need a set of 24s thrown in it.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems. Why don't you just sign that old thing over to me and get rid of those headaches?

As suggested do a complete tune up and double check your timing. Make sure you pull the spout connector before setting it and replace it afterwards.

It sounds like your fuel pump relay may be sticking. Check it out and replace it. You don't want it running your battery down.

If you install 24 lb injectors don't forget you will also need a MAF calibrated for them too.

Thanks for the heads up on the relay.

Gonna try an get my new belt today, hope someone else at the counter of advanced when I ask for a 71.5" 6 rib belt again. Worthless guy yesterday looked at me like I had 5 heads an said id have to wait til they ring up other people before looking for the belt cuz they have to measure them. What a joke

They are idiots.it says the length right in the part number.I don't remember exactly how it works but something like 715k would be the belt you need.but I do sure as hell know if I worked in an auto parts store I would know how to decipher them for sure.

Sorry, but you have just been dissed by the parts counter idiot.

You may have to educate them as you ask for parts, because education on what they are selling no longer seems to be a requirement for the job.
I get so irritated at our local parts idiots that I will now drive 30 miles out of my way to avoid going in for a confrontation.

You best bet is to look up the belt you need online in the brand(s) they carry and give them the part number. This will keep them from over working their minuscule brains in attempting to find it for you.

Does the car have a after market chip already, if so make sure the base timing is set at 10degrees.

Check the Pcv
valve leaks on the manifold, are the Injectors sucking air. It sounds like it could be a mass air problem try cleaning it
