exhaust setup opinions?

first off glad to be here on the site, ive been reading, you guys have really good info and opinions, but with that being said...i recently left hondas(thank god,i hate them now)and i picked up a 89 hatchback with a decently built 302 in it.it has the gt40p heads, fully forged bottom end(not 100% sure on how high the comp. is) but i know its safe to run 93 octane,it has oversized valves,a f cam,and hedman long tube headers on it,im sure im missing alot, but im very curious on what would be the best exhaust setup for my car, from the header back.any opinions or advice is well appreciated...

Are you talking about sound or performance? Performance wise an o/r 2.5in x pipe with a 3in catback would be the way to go.

thats what my pops was suggesting,he was saying something abou a h-pipe,due to something i cant remember not having much clearance with a x-pipe.and as far as sound/performance..trying not to have it super loud, due to the cam.but i would like to have a nice sound along with good performance

If you want a deeper tone go with the h-pipe and 2 chambered mufflers.

No problem, we do have an exhaust thread with different setups if you want to get an idea of different sounds.
