Cylinder heads

Well I've backed out of two sets of aluminum heads afr and trick flow cause I'm not sure if I want to buy used one. But made my mind up on buying patriot performance new cylinder heads. Has anyone ever gotten these and are they decent heads?

The 185s flow pretty good for a cheaper head. Should add some muscle to a fox body. Have seen them loose torque on a lightning though lol

Re: Cylinder heads

You'll be ok, just check the head bolt torque 2-3 times after a few heating and cooling cycles each time. A lot of people just bolt them on, torque them down and never check them again.
Sometimes you get away with that and sometimes you don't.

One question you might ask them is how thick the decks are?
5/8" thick or better is needed for any power adder applications due to the increased cylinder pressures.
