Gt40 fcam timing

Just got my car back from getting all new seals and gaskets, my mechanic turned my timing down a bit and my car feels slower. He told me I could only run 93 before. Just curious what I should start to crank it up to Car is a built 306 was pulling to 6200ish now tails off about 5500. Would like to hear some opinions. Bought the car with this combo 3bar gt40 heads with a tubular gt40 intake. Any insight from any other gt40 guys out there

It should pull good with about 14* base. Also make sure you run premium to help prevent pinging.

Thanks, I'm gunna bring the car back to my guy and see how that works out.

When I brought him the car I wasn't 100% on what heads and cam was even in the car as I caught a few issues the previous owner lied about. I'm glad it's all gt40 stuff considering. Only things I caught him lying about since I've been fixing this car was clutch related. Coming together nicely so far.

Good to hear it was only clutch related. You should gain some pep by advancing the timing.
