oil pan gasket leaking!!

I bought some engine stop leak and it says it will stop the leak....but will it screw up my engin?!

Don't use that stuff. It will only gunk up your engine.
I never saw any stop leak for engine oiling systems, what you have may be for the cooling system and you sure don't want to put that in your lubricating oil.
The only real cure is to replace the gasket.

Trojans rite, don't .I let a mechanic talk me in to using radiator stop leak for a pin hole on a vette. Only thing it sealed was the thermostat, and we all know what happened next.

dont ever ever ever put any of that parts store gimmicky crap in your car. fix the problem instead of cheaping out.i know the oil pan gasket is a pain thats why mine just leaks till i get to it keep an eye on your oil level.

Agreed. Maybe you guys could loosen the pan up enough to throw some silicone in there? Just to get by till you get a chance to do it right?

my gasket is slipping out.im waiting till i do my front control arm busings and coil springs then im just dropping the k member on it.i work in a shop so the lift makes everything easier.i figure that way im knocking out a few things at the same time.

definetely beats pulling the motor just for that or fighting with hopefully getting the pan out and dropping the oil pump when i have other things to do in the same area.
