Fuel door release button

I took the console/dash apart and now the fuel door release isn't working now that its hooked back up. Sh** no gas!! Its not the fuse... Any tricks or common problems anyone know of?

I don't know the fix.but in the trunk there is a cable, maybe behind the carpet.by the fuel door.pull on that and your door will open.

You left a wire disconnected maybe?

What year car are you working on?
On 94-95 there is a fuse box under the hood too.
Be sure to check those if your car is one of those years.

my button stoped working as well and instead of opening my hatch everytime i bent the tab the fuel door locks on far enough that it still latches but i can grab ahold of it and pop it open. its up to u i just gave up trying to fix that stupid button

I might do that to mine till I get around to fixing it properly.since mines been in the garage so long I usually just leave it open.but for some reason everytime someone comes over they feel they need to shut it.

lol atleast this way u can always bend it back over carefully after you figure the button out thats what im going to do. I didnt even no there was a cable in the back when i first bought the car it was about a month after i bought it and the button would only work when it wanted to. Then about a week later i was cleaning it all out and found the cable haha
