Cobra intake

Well very excited my cobra intake came in today and the vacuum lines are a little different. Does anyone have a diagram or any advice on how to hook it all up. Also would you recommend gasket sealer on it or just leave it?

If you don't already have one, get a Chilton's or Haynes manual so you will have the torque sequence and values for installing the intake. They are critical to installing the intake so you do not damage or warp it. The book will also have the procedure for installing an intake.

The vacuum lines will reconnect to the plenum in the same manner as the stock intake. The only place you will need sealant is on the threaded vacuum fittings. You will want to use some good silicone sealer at the ends of the front and rear intake gaskets and around the water passages to ensure they seal up good.

You're welcome, but I am just one of them.
My friend dreamstang and several others are just as knowledgeable or even more so than I am. We all work together to provide the best information we can.

i would be happy to share half of what i learn from you.

btw i would probably toss the front and rear intake gasket and use just silicon.and put it pretty thick in the corner.then run the bead up around the water jacket.

I have learned from you too, so we'll both share our combined knowledge.
I count on you to keep me from making dumb mistakes and filling in my memory gaps.

Good advice.
Those end gaskets sometimes cause problems and the silicone replaces them nicely.
Just be sure to use "Oil Resistant" silicone.
