Another Oil Thread

I have a '94 5.0l. The engine had been rebuilt sometime last year and they used a regular conventional oil. When I changed the oil last I used a 'semi-synthetic' type oil. I was wondering what your thoughts on using a true synthetic like AMSoil or Royal Purple would be on this engine. I'm really considering AMSoil but wanted to see if any of you 5.0 guys used it.

Any experience?

Full synthetic oils are great and will actually keep your engine cleaner and reduce friction loss, which frees up some power.
The only drawback is their cost, but that can be recovered through less frequently needed oil changes too.

Fyi if you have any oil leaks a full synthetic will make it worse as it lubricates much better...but anywho you cant go wrong with a good synthetic!..
