Straights vs mufflers

5.0 with long tube headers with an H pipe fuel injected. I want to know if there's any real benefit to having straight pipes or will putting mufflers on help anything?

On the fox you will benefit from the straight pipes but the mufflers won't rob that much hp.

There any like mufflers that don't rob anything at all like resonators glass packs? And if I had mufflers what size of pipes should I get.

I'm not sure if this really completely answers your question, but some good exhaust info with dyno numbers.this can be found in the sticky section.

Was about to do the same thing. when I change my catback that's probably how I'm going to do it.

Straight pipes might garner you a few HP, but the noise will get to be irritating after a while.

I'd suggest the Dynomax Ultra mufflers.
Each will flow 2200 CFM and keep the noise down to a more bearable level.

Me too, to a degree, but at times I like stealth mode too.
Therefore some electrical dump valves would be nice.
