gt to lx conversion

so im debating on converting my gt to an lx when i go to painting the car i have a donor car for the body parts. has anyone done it on here and any suggestions? i personally like the simplisity of the lx body more than the gt styling but thats my personal opinion. (dont want to hear an arguement of gt better than lx and lx better than gt lol )

A GT bumper says mustang I do believe..I ordered an aftermarket one without inlay..I think when you take off the ground effects from the kick panel you will need to fill the holes left as the body kit is bolted to the kick panel...other then that different front cover, and rear bumper cover...oh and I believe the lx doesn't have the groves in the doors...

The gt factory bumper has "mustang gt" inlaid like the side skirts.

Buddy of mine just converted his, he stripped all the molding and bumpers off and painted everything separate. Shouldn't have any problems as long as you use everything from the lx.

Another thing is, there are mounting brackets riveted to the body for the side skirts and cover. Holes to fill...
