Shelby went to Chrysler for the same reason he went to Ford. Lee Iacocca offered MONEY! Since Shelby had left Ford in the 1960's and since he didn't go to Chrysler until the 1980's('83 I think), his reasons had nothing to do with Ford. These were positively 100% mutually exclusive deals. Maybe you really should keep your mouth shut since, clearly, you're well above your knowledge level here. From the looks, I did my research on him around the time you were being birthed... Save me the fables as I've heard many more than you, without a doubt.
