I like my b cam. It Lopes good. But I wouldn't consider it nasty.

Re: Cam

CamQuest is your friend. Put in your info and let it pick the best cam for your engine.

P.S. a 'big nasty" cam isn't going to do you a bit of good unless you have the rest of the engine to back it up.
I had a big nasty cam once that was so hairy we called it the "woolly bugger" cam. I installed that bad boy with high expectations and dreams of mountainous horsepower and torque. What I ended up with was a creeping slug that barely had enough power to take off from a dead stop.

The mutha thumpr from comp cams is really choppy. I believe it doesn't sacrifice power like the cams Trojan is talking about. Might have to research them a little to find out.

Why size lift can your springs in your heads support? The sky is the limit what kind of power adders will you have? Nos, turbo, supercharger... Is it a daily or a toy?

Sounds like a good match for an e303 cam.. Possibly a f303 if u stiffen the springs.. What pistons are you adding?

E303 is good but not nasty territory. I would contact a cam specialist or use the software that TH recommends. A cam expert will be able to give you the nasty idle u want with out sacrificing power. If I ever get rid of my b303 then I am gonna get a custom ground cam. They are not to much more than a shelf cam but are made to match your needs and setup.

Yeah but he has gt40 heads that I didn't hear of they are worked.. So unless he goes custom grind or with a smaller comp.. He needs to beef up the springs.. That's why the fms products have been a good choice for my cheaper builds.. They give a nice choppy idle "with right exhaust" very affordable and street friendly.. Especially if you ever have to pass emissions depending on car age of course..
