Trojan on a real note , is there a top speed limiter on the fox body? Like does the computer govern it?

No, I don't believe any of them are limited by the ECU or otherwise.

I've seen over 150 in mine (by the factory speedo and estimating after 140), but they are very unstable at that speed, so I won't be repeating that any time soon. Hitting the small expansion cuts in the highway felt like I was running over logs at that speed and the slightest twitch of the wheel would have put it out of control.

+1 these solid axle cars dont like bumps at speed..be careful guys!...on another note stock id think 140-150 is all a stock fox could muster...you'll run out of power in top gear..

Mine was not stock so I still had power, but my brains kicked in and my nads shrank, which immediately lifted my foot off the throttle.

Re: Speed

I think the most I've ever seen in my cars was about 120, possibly more on a sport bike.

If I can find them I'll post some pics of my 89 lx I crashed on us131 just outside of Grand Rapids Mi! I was coming up on 145mph when I hit one of those "logs". I almost had it saved but my front drivers side tire got off the pavement and it pulled me into the ditch. That's all I remember! The cops said I was doing around 70 when the car started to flip, 8 rolls later I was upside down in the trees. The 4 point BOLT IN roll bar was the only thing that saved my a$$!!! I was in the hospital for six weeks and off work for almost a year!
You guys need to be careful!!! I go to Gratten Raceway once a year to do that kind of driving and it's a blast!! KEEP IT OFF THE STREETS!!! Trust me it's worth it

Thanks guys . Last time I had mine up to a high speed I had a slight running issue so I couldn't tell but I do agree it felt really sketchy at those speeds . Thanks

Ya mustangbill made a good point, keep it on the track! Once you actually do race at a track (1/4 mile or circuit) you'll never race on the streets again. I did it 2 yrs ago and I'm gonna do it again in Vegas next week....should be renting the new Nissan GT-R black edition. I know I know !!! I'd rather have my hands on a ford GT or saleen but that's the newest car they have.

Anyways, the point is people like us that have these amazing cars should not put other peoples lives in danger just so we can talk about how fast we can go.
