Search for fuel injectors

Ok I have a 90gt I wanna get some recommendations on where I can purchase a quality set of fuel injectors. My car is stock so there no point in going with 24 lb injectors. I have a bad injector so I was gonna change em all.anyone with experience with napa? Advanced or orielys?

If you only have one bad one and your car is stock why not use the cash for something else. We all have spare 19pounders, I'll be happy to send you one if you need it.

Re: Search for fuel injectors

With only 1 bad injector, it's a tough call to replace them all, due to price. I have experience with Napa, Advance and O'reilly... and AutoZone and Carquest and a few others...

For what you want, find a Mustang specialty shop. It will be much less expensive, I'm sure.

There's a good example of a specialty shop being a better place to shop for your parts. They'll not only be correct, but in many cases, less expensive and most importantly, parts you may not even find at a local parts store.

I added a link for Late Model Restoration... Free shipping. If NAPA is beating $290.00 for 8 new fuel injectors, buy 'em! Those at LMR happen to be 19 lb ACCEL, but hey... ECHLIN being a fine product(at least it used to be- haven't dealt with it in some time) aside, I'm a little surprised to hear NAPA is beating any price on any part.

If quality from your local parts store is your concern, I'd suggest NAPA, then O'reilly, then Carquest(if you have that nearby), then any other nearby mom & pop store, then somewhere near the back of the line, Advance and AutoZone. They both used to sell good quality, but as far as I can tell, that's (generally speaking) a thing of the past unless you order it in.

Re: Search for fuel injectors

I got some reconditioned ones from my stang a couple years back when I had two going south. Got them off Ebay for like $130 for the set. Have had no issue with them. Figured I could buy two sets for the price of a new set, and my car is far from needing 24 pounders as well.

But my stang is not my DD, so if it had to sit for a day/week/month to replace one that wasn't fully cleaned it wouldn't be an issue.
