random question

anyone know how long a floor jack will hold up a motor

it all depends on the jack. a very good jack in perfect working order may not sag over time. but some will sag in hours. some in days. its really hard to say. if you are worried about it sagging maybe you could block up the motor or wedge something under the jack so it cant come down. just be careful!

the jacks fairly new and in good condition my motors gonna be up on it for a week or two bc i bought motor mounts and someone on here said they were the same for both sides and theyre not so i need to buy a new one for the right side. im just worried bout it giving out what would exactly happen if the jack gives out, like what sort of damage to what would it cause

Just put a block of wood (2x4) under the engine at the mount site and let it down.
