widest tire?!?!?

What's the widest tire I can run on a stock 91 mustang pony rim? I'm running 225/55/16 now,.was wondering how.much wider I can go?

You might get away with a 275 on a 8 but I wouldn't go over a 255. The rim is rather narrow.

I believe 245 is the widest recommended for stock ponies.

You should be fine with a 245/50/16.
