Decal opinions???

I'm debating on the front oval decal for the front nose piece of my car.. Should I
1. Buy a traditional and go with stock?
2. Go to junkyard get one clean it up and do a custom paint logo of my own.

Does anyone have any cool ideas?
The reason being I really don't want a dark blue one on the front of my silver car a clear one with logo or supercharged design would be cool.. Just can't find any.. Lmk guys and girls..

Custom!
I like the junkyard idea. Customize it to fit with the rest of your car.

Re: Decal opinions???

Cut out a Mustang Running Horse and put some screen behind it for extra air flow into the engine compartment.

A Chrome Pony Emblem

A Custom Decal

Thank you
That design was originally thought up by my youngest daughter and I for her 89 convertible.

We planned on using one of the urethane bumper repair kits or a flexible epoxy and fastening it to the backside of the bumper/front end. The screen can be almost anything you can find to use. We had looked at some black screen wire and some light expanded metal and perforated metal.

If you are very careful and use a Dremel tool with some of the mini carbide or spiral cutting burs, I think it can be cut out easily and accurately. Then you can touch up the edges of the hole with a bit of touch up paint and clear coat.

You can just download a graphic or black line drawing and print it out for free too.

Re: Decal opinions???

Here's some more ideas.

You could also just cut out the Ford Emblem area and screen behind that too.

They do, but those Ponies above are cut out with screens behind them to allow extra airflow through the radiator and into the engine compartment. Something that may be very desirable on a forced induction engine.
