Was wondering if I should stick with my shortys or go with the longtubes? What's yalls opinions? Pros n cons? Good n bad? The guy who has them claims I should get around 40-50hp over the shortys.....

You'll see a HP increase but nowhere near 40-50. I would say around a 15-20 HP bump over shorties.

+1 That's what I have read and seen in dyno tests too.

When comparing to stock, shorties are good for about 15 HP and long tubes are good for about 25-30 HP.

I'd love to do long tubes but I hear they are a pain to install. That's what keeps me from long tubes. Not to hijack but are long tubes louder?

They tend to create a louder exhaust, but not by a ton.

Depends I had LTs on my 94 cobra which had about a 1.5"-1.75" drop. If I wasn't careful they would scrap on speed bumps. Had to take them at a angle.

Should I swap my shorty headers and offroad x pipe for a set of MAC long tube headers and MAC pro-chamber? I'm pretty sure it be a good deal, just seeing everybody's opinions.....and could I raise the engine a little bit so the long tube headers won't be so close to ground? The car has been lowered with.correct springs.....

Long tubes would bring more horsepower but I got these today and can't wait to put them on tomorrow!

I would.

You could probably space the engine up a bit somehow, but I don't think I would as it will likely cause problems elsewhere from changing the driveline angle. Plus I don't know how much hood clearance you have, but that could also be an issue.

Well, then as long as your drivetrain angle doesn't end up like this...

Would also have to shim the trans crossmenber somehow. If you have a factory shroud make sure your fan clearances it.its a lot of stuff to be careful of.
