New Radiator Couple ?'s

It's a Mishimoto Aluminum unit, and looks really nice.
I don't really need it for daily driving, the car doesn't
run hot. The reason for putting it in is I plan on doing
some Autocross and maybe even HPDE days.

Question I have is: Should I stick with the factory
2 speed fan or use the dual fan setup I have off
a Ford Contour?

I would hook the dual fan up with one fan for low speed
and the other for high speed. I like the idea of dual fans
as a redundant system. If one fails there is always another
for backup.

Another idea I have is to hook up a spray mister for the A/C
condensor. Spray it when in slow moving traffic to cool it, and
keep the A/C system from working so hard.

What year car are you working on?
I assume it is a 94-95 since you say it has a 2 speed single fan?

The dual fans from the Contour will give you some redundancy, but other than that I can't really envision any other benefits unless it does cover more area than your single and it moves enough air for the 5.0.

If you decide to use the dual fans, just make sure your wiring harness is up to the task if both fans should be running at the same time. Since they are smaller diameter that may not be an issue, but check the amp loads to be sure anyways so you don't burn up some wiring. The FLA (Full Load Amp) ratings should be on the motors somewhere.

You would want to hook them up so 1 fan is running for low speed cooling and both for full high speed cooling to get the most out of them.

A misting bar over the condenser/radiator would help, but I cannot say whether it would help enough to be worth the time and expense of installing it. That's one of those things you'll just have to try and see how well it works.

Just went there, their website sux and I was unable to price an aluminum radiator for a Fox Body.
Looks kind of "fly by night" to me, I wouldn't recommend them.

I use to run a Radiator franchise. It looks shady but it isn't. It used to be one of my sources for aluminum racing radiators because most of their radiators were the ones that were just being rebranded as mushimotots and other brands. Besides cant beat $150 for an all aluminium. Not sure if they sell to the public anymore though.
