T-5

Recently got an 86 fox and the previous owner said fifth was out but when it went out it didn't grind or anything...I tried 5th and it was just like putting it into neutral...any thoughts guys?

It's gone... Pull it and upgrade it.. The rest will go soon.. There are tiny particles floating around in your trans now I'm sure

A fresh t5 would probably be your best bet...they are not too hard to find and they really aren't worth a gold mine anything else your going to be looking at a pretty penny

Yeah if you have the $$.. I would love a t-600 or t-56.. But you can always rebuild your t-5 with some stronger internals and add a short throw to it
