I use castrol dex-merc in mine. Royal purple would be good though.

The bbk seems to be a hot seller, or you could get the AM off brand fender mount for half the money.

Thanks a lot !!! I had a 97 thunderbird with a 4.6 and this 5.0 is a strait stud compared to it ... Just runs funny right now .. The EGR is half assed .. 2 vaccume lines are plugged with screws and I took them out one day.. And I though it was gonna die on me

The world class t-5 uses dex/merc ATF fluid ( or better equivalent ). The non world class uses gear oil.

WC is found in the 5.0 cars, non WC in the 2.3 cars.

Re: Transmission Questions

If you own a 5.0, I cant tell you this... (and im not saying do this now just as a fair warning) Dont half-*** any work done on the car. These motors will only perform half-*** if you half-*** the work on them.
If, you spend the time and the money to do the job right however, they become nearly un-breakable (stock to mild power levels)

I think there are non Wc 5.0s and WC 2.3s it depends on the years. They switched to WC in 86 give or take.

Youre right, I was trying to get the years right before posting that. I believe the only 2.3 with the WC was the svo, could be mistaken though.

Yes the WC is better. Google search mustang t5 identification chart or look in the stickies. You need to look at the id tag( not the case) and match your tranny to the chart.

You may be right. I did think that the newest ones where still WC but I could be wrong as well.

it appears that in 85 ford went with WC in all models. and i think 94-95 had the same torque rating as the 90-93 but just had a longer input shaft.

i feel like it is. its barely past the testing stages right now. ive only drove a few trips around the neighborhood and one decent cruise sine the bigger upgrades i have done. but it feels twice as strong as it used to.
