For a 93 it's 205hp, earlier were rated at 225.

That's a bummer headers intake and flow masters wouldn't make much of a difference right

Yes they do make a good difference, forgot to mention the main reason the hp rating was lower was because of a different standard for measuring.

Re: Hp?

Also look at the 300 ftlbs. Helps alot when getting on the throttle.

If you ever see a dyno chart on the motors in our cars, they have a very flat curve. Which means they are in the power band much longer then others. So you have that power for a longer period of time, and are therefor able to beat cars with a higher peak HP (Assuming similar weights, gears, drivers, etc.).

Ftlbs is a measurement of the torque output of the car. You cars motor puts out 300 of the magical units... At the motor. Torque is essentially the moving capacity of an object and it's ability to keep moving under much resistance. Basically put, the more torque something's got, the harder it is to stop. And in the case of your car, the more torque means a harder launch (or just more probe to spinning tires!!)

Probe=prone

Re: Hp?

Simplified:
Torque - Gets the car moving.Horsepower - Keeps it moving.
