Throwing those big numbers around may scare newbies.. Not saying I couldn't spent 9k on a motor but a 306?? There is only so much block prep and goodies you can add but then on top you said your only at 300rwhp.. I'm guessing you spent a lot at the machine shop and on accessories for looks not only power

The only part that screwed up on is at the time I bought my shortblock my budget was super tight and I should have waited but did is I didn't get forged internals

we understand. a build can go many different ways. and yours sounds great. my build was more budget oriented with some ebay parts, used part and fabbed parts thrown in the mix. we where just curious how that much went to just the motor. after your full explanation it makes good sense. sounds like you have a pretty nice ride!

I hear you on that. My stang doesn't get driven often either. But the bad part is it still gets dirty everytime my stupid garage door opens and closes. Dam black cars. Lol.

Sometimes the dailies need love to. I'm still saying boost though. Haha.

I decided to show it off at work one day. Show I washed and waxed it. Well it just so be the opening day for cotton wood season. Arghh. Lol it was stuck all over.

Then a few days later I washed and waxed my escort. Then the next day I got hit with like 10 piles of bird crap all at one time. I could barely see out of the windshield. I just can't win.

Have the exact same problem with my 95 5.0. Ive changed the throttle body, maf, air intake and all I can pin it to is a really small exhaust leak, an intake gasket leak which you will know if you're loosing coolant and it not a head gasket. The only other thing I can think of is low compression and ill have my heads rebuilt here soon and let you know
