1988 Mustang GT California Car Waterpump

Does anyone know what kind of waterpump this car originally came with?
I see that Edelbrock has a reverse-flow replacement whatever that means.
In 1988 did the 5.0 Mustang GT come with a a reverse flow waterpump?
If not what are the differences?

No, but it does come with a reverse rotation water pump. It spins in the opposite direction of the crank. I don't think I would buy an Edelbrock pump though, because they are likely overpriced. Go to Summit Racing - High Performance Car and Truck Parts | 800-230-3030 and see what all they have there.

That's where I saw it in Summit catalog. Might even be in Jegs too.

don't waste your time on high flow pumps, the factory pump is almost always more than adequate, instead spend the money on a radiator
