EGR valve??

My car is throwing a check engine light once per drive and it goes off.. Its running really rich ive been told that bad maf sensors and egr can throw a light but I wanted anybodys opinion who has been down this road before.. It is also sputtering under throttle at times.. Thanks,

Those are good places to start. But I would read the codes and see what they say.

If its got tits or tires it's gonna give you problems my first step would be cleaning the maf and hoping that fixes it

I had oreilys hook it up and it said rich at partial throttle and lean at wot. Not sure what that means. So I guess when I get some cash ill take it to someone professional who can hook it up and pinpoint exactly what's wrong. Ima clean the maf and replace the egr and see what happen..

It sounds to me like your stuck in an "open loop" which the ecu will go into default when one of the major sensors that control fuel is faulty. I would still check the basics. All these parts are testable. Get your self a Haynes or Chilton and it should have all the testing procedures.

If you do take it to a shop tell them to put it on a 5 gas analyzer that will tell you where your problem is. That will tell you why you have a rich condition

Check your: MAF, O2 sensors, ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor, or AIT (air intake temp) sensor.
