I'm not trying to scare you or anything. Trojan know way more than me. What I would do is whatever info you find about everything keep that info. Then maybe your tuner can bump it up safely. I would get whatever boost you can, and request a SAFE tune.

Quit scaring me I would bet the forged internals can handle it. Also, I am using my stock heads and intake for now so that will limit my power anyways.

You know you can always feel free to disagree whenever you think you should or need to.
I'm not one of those people who will blow up and get all stupid if someone disagrees with me.

It is definitely "better" to apply boost to a lower compression engine.
It lessens the chance of detonation and you can apply more boost without the detrimental effects you would have with higher compression.

I see.
The engine "killer" in most boosted applications is detonation.
He will have to be very careful with his boost levels and tune to prevent that.

They are stock E7 heads. I'm just using the stock top end, plus the Lunati cam that came with the engine. Next Summer I'll probably buy better heads etc... I know I'll catch some crap about the stock heads, but I have had bad budget breaking luck and just can't swing decent heads this year.

You will be fine on low boost.. But next summer when you get a set of great flowing heads and upper and lower all matched also... Then your talking power. Prob 480ish rwhp.

No that's moderate.. Low would be IMO 4-6,. But start with the 6psi spring I would guess and a tuner will let you know if you can go to 8,.

Is it easier to put my engine back in the car with the trans and accessories attached?

If you have enough room to get it in there it is, but you will likely have clearance problems trying to get it tilted enough and far enough back to lower the front of the assembly.

What about the bell housing? Is that normally installed as part of the trans or on the back of the engine?

---------- Post added at 10:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:52 PM ----------

Just not sure what the easiest reinstallation order would be.

You might be able to get the engine with the bellhousing on it to slide in there fairly easy.
TBH, I never tried it on a Fox Body with anything more than the flywheel on the back of the engine.
Measure the engine and bellhousing, then measure the engine bay. If there is enough room for it to drop straight in or it is really close, then likely it will fit ok.

Yes motor and trans together the stab both take your time and watch your trans.. With the right angle and 2 guys it's possible. Once the trans and motor are in at a angle get someone under the car near the trans tunnel to guide it in slowly.. This will save you alot of time.

It would probably be not to bad if you had an engine hoist leveler.

You can wrap a towel around the trans to save the paint. It will save you an hour.. But if you have a trans jack get after it..
