+1 Any good petroleum based oil will serve for break in purposes and 5W30 is a good weight to use.

When driving let off gas let the torque slow you down, compression will help seat rings.... ( I believe thats right)?

Never heard that one before, but using the engine to brake the car puts a load on the rod caps, so I try not to do that much.

I just drive mine easy for a few miles, no set distance, and if everything seems ok then I go ahead and drive them like I intend to. Modern lubricants and metals are much better than they used to be and most rings are probably seated in within a 100 miles or so. I do change the oil out at 500-1000-2000 miles though, just to get rid of the wear in metals and debris.

My dyno tune was telling me that. Not at high speed, just lifting off pedal letting in (rev down) so to speak. Just like to put out what I heard to do. I know ill be right or be corrected. Yea mon
