If you want loud go with 10 series flowmasters. They are way louder than 40 series and sound better than straight pipes imo

Like dream said, go with 10s. My 90 has 40s and they are pretty quiet with a nice tone. My 93 with 10s flows is louder with a tone and hardly any drone. Straight pipes are loud as hell and it will eventually aggravate you when you can't hold a conversation in your car without yelling.

I don't DD the 93 anymore so the exhaust stops right under the trans. Putting cutouts in whenever i can order them. Love the sound when I press the pedal all the way down though.

+1 My Mach has the Flowmaster cat back that is basically no mufflers and Flowmaster tips. It sounds good WOT, but not as much everywhere else.

dont get me wrong though. i have always been a 40 series fan. they still sound good. but if you want loud 10s are the way to go. as long as you have understanding neighbors.

10 series
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_2qW...e_gdata_player

10 series better quality vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZyC1...e_gdata_player

40 series but not good quality
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUCJL...e_gdata_player

The 40 series isn't good quality. And you can't tell loudness in the comparisons. But you get the point.

Okay, I was thinking was doing the glass pack thing as I remember it anyway. Mine doesn't sound as good as the 10 series. Also, I bet my setup is not the best for back pressure, being that there is no mufs at all. With that, I think I'm looking for a new cat back setup. The rest of my exhaust is stock. Thanks!

Re: Exhaust

Get some Magnaflows, I think they sound great when you get on it.
Then do what I did and put some cut outs in when you want it loud.

Here is mine with the Cutouts open

and this one with them closed
