After market steering wheels

Any one run a aftermarket steering wheel? I would like some opinion please

If you have an airbag steering wheel, then no one I know of makes aftermarket wheels for them. The liability is to great and manufacturers shy away from them.

You know of any good places that sell factory replacements ?

You may be able to find a "custom" steering wheel, but they will be expensive.


Is yours peeling off around the ring or center?

WAIT, I found some that say for 84-13 Mustangs, which is news to me as you couldn't find anything a few years ago. I guess they overcame their problems with producing them.

Note: You will lose the air bag protection using these steering wheels.

You can get "wheel skins" or leather covers for the ring.


The website says they will, click the link I provided and take a look.


No, I would prefer to keep the airbag protection if the car already had it.
I had an accident and hit a steering wheel once with my chest. The seat belt locks failed. The docs said if I had hit it any harder I would have likely died from a ruptured aorta. I'd kind of like to avoid that possibility. I got off with some spectacular bruises and a few cracked ribs.

Yep, It wasn't my turn yet.
Didn't do my truck much good though.


A Ford Racing cover would be ok, but I find a lot of those to be to bulky and uncomfortable. I prefer the thin leather covers on the steering wheel and shifter handle if possible.

True true !!! I just am super picky , so I hate havin a nasty steering wheel/: .. Idk kinda like the looks of some racin wheels ..

A cross pin in the rear end broke and locked up the rear wheels, went off road and hit a pole and a ditch.
