the best bang for the buck would be a supercharger and tune

you'll be putting down 300 at the wheels with no other modifications

i'd say NOT to mod it. keep it original and buy another fitty, and fix that b*tch up. 93 cobras are soo classy. haha

if you build a 93 cobra you basically remove what made it a 93 cobra so buying another fox would be a good way to keep it in good shape.

I agree with SpectorV... I would pick up a cheaper fox to do some really crazy mods to. In my opinion, the 93 Cobras are getting more rare by the moment. If it were me I would only do things that were completely reversible, like full exhaust, or some suspension work. Hell, I'd almost offer to swap you my fox for it, long as its in good shape

concur. 20k on a 93 Cobra should be a museum piece. do NOT modify it, itll definately be worth money in the years to come.

find another fox to abuse. if you must mod this one, do easily reversible mods, like bolt-ons, gears, etc. keep stock parts, and do the mods to the best of your ability (IE no half-assing ****).

you have a damn good car on your hands. try to keep the miles low if at all possible.

Re: new owner of a 93 (real) cobra 20,000 miles need to mod

^^ thats true, but i wouldnt tear down the bottom end or blow a 93 cobra... driving and modding are two different subjects...

if your going to tear it up just sell it for the value that it has and buy a LX or GT and throw the same ground effects and such on it... youll come out ahead...

if you mod that car you will LOSE value not gain... people want them stock... unlike a GT or LX...

another way to look at it is... go ahead and put heads and such on it... but then what happens if you blow the rear end out.... or the numbers matching tranny... JUST BE SMART... i mean who buys a 67gt500 that has matching numbers to make it a track queen...

Re: new owner of a 93 (real) cobra 20,000 miles need to mod

for instance the next time i have to redo that 289 in my 65 im going to pull it out and put a 302 in it so i dont have to worry about screwing up the 43 year old block/heads... and 93 cobras will be priceless in 20 years

Re: new owner of a 93 (real) cobra 20,000 miles need to mod

You can throw an inexpensive paxton or powerdyne blower on in a few hours (no oil return lines), add a small 80 HP supercharger NOS kit and it will be darn scary. These are easy to remove, don't require any drilling, and are very reliable. I drove this combo for 3 years. Get an extra upper radiator hose (blower bend), extra spare tire well gromet (NOS line), and extra throttle body gasket (NOS plate) and that is sbout it. Just an Idea.
