There are many great combos with the gt40 heads.. But they have larger combustion chambers than the p's so you can add a lil more fuel.. Is your upper and lower intake ported as well? The FMS products work great in street cars.. But you may be looking for a certain sound.. I would search camquest and see what they recommend then go to YouTube and search the cam and see if you like the sound..

Porting and polishing really isn't to expensive.. I've had a set of gt40's worked extensively and only paid $300

Would I need to get the entire intake ported ?
And is it a hard install?

It is a very very simple install.. Just some RTV and a few bolts.. Follow the torque sequences that ford specifies in a chiltons manual..

yes 10k can get you a good setup.

wih that i would find a used 351 block. poke a stroke it with some forged internals. that could be done for less than 3k then you can pick up the s/c kit for around 3-3500$ then pgrade the fuel system maybe 600$ and a decent top end for around 2500$
this is around 9k and wont leave you much room for error as 90 suggested but would be a nice setup. then you also gotta allow around 1k or more for suspension work to get the power to the ground.
then the cheaper route is to build your block with the main support system and forged internals. you could knock 1-2 k off maybe going this route.

Aww man. That sux. are you ok?
No reason to throw the plans away. Just get another one for a little less than the money you get. Then you will have even more money to mod.
