afr 165, trickflow 170, or edelbrock for mild builds. if you are gonna stroke it i would get the next larger size. but these are the most popular heads. i am personally running the trickflow 170 and love them.

Trickflow top end kit is the best bang for the buck imho. It also comes with everything you need for install gaskets and bolts.

I made 342rwhp with a 306 and I only switched to a n71 cam with a conservative tune, and I sold the tfs1 cam. Got my old lx to a 11.78. Haven't really worked with with the ed-bs or the afrs on this flow.

Anderson motor sports shows a 361 rwhp dyno sheet with this n71 CAM and that's with a 331 stroker. I'm sorry but there's no way a bored 302 to 306 is making that kind of horsepower without being stroked, IMO!!

I used domed pistons to put the c/r to an estimated 11.2-11.5 and tunning has to do a lot with it to. This cam loves to rev and made good power up to 6900rpm. Also I had one hell of a ignition system done by my friend and a electric water pump. With the underdrive pulleys, ignition, fan, and waterpump it gained 32rwhp. There are to many veriables to take in to consideration when comparing two cars not just the displacement and cam.

I ran a gallon of c16 with every full tank just to keep it on the safe side I was planning on running e85 but I sold it before I did the conversion, have the fuel pump and injectors still laying around the house
