99-04 gt had more power cause of the pi upgrade. Not sure if you got a gts or you just meant gt's but if it is a gts I'd keep it. You don't see them very often

lol wow i didnt think anyone with a v8 would consider a trade for a sixxer lol. i love my car, and i planned to make it faster. but i could never get that v8 rumble. thats basically the only reason im selling my car . i dont really care about the speed or racing and stuff.

Very good point.
If my car was ever taken from my grasp, I would consider a change up.
Nothing wrong with a little variety.

A 4.6 is gonna cost more to build. But it is still a good motor. Like stang racer said though, you want a 99-04 though.

---------- Post added at 11:26 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:23 AM ----------

I am personally biased toward the 5.0. I was in high school when they were in there hay day. That's what made me fall in love with the mustang. I knew the first time I saw a foxbody that I would own one, one day.

Re: Maybe...

IMO, keep the GTS and mod it with bolt ons only. Save all of the factory parts as it is more or less a "Special" edition and will ultimately be worth a bit more than a regular Mustang GT of the same year. I had one of them that was the real lightweight version. It had no A/C, manual window regulators, etc., etc.. Sadly I got it in wrecked, totaled out condition and parted it out.

IF you decide to go to a newer Mustang and get a 4.6, research them very carefully before you buy, otherwise you will be very unhappy when you find out you have to replace the block and/or all of the internals to be able to get much power out of it. Parts for them are more expensive and harder to find than the older 5.0/5.8 engines, which has been the main factor in my desire or interest in purchasing one.

Now if you can go for the 2011 and up, then you will get some serious factory power and be , but I hate what they did to the rear end on those cars.
