The IAC & ECU compensate for the extra load, but if your compressor is failing it may be exerting an excessive load that they are unable to compensate for.

The compressor is brand new. I find it odd that my idle doesn't bump up when I turn the ac on. Actually I hear that it is supposed to bump up idle it helps with ac cooling at idle and all too. So I guess it's time to clean or replace the iac I guess the iac isn't doing its job.

When everything is working properly you may not notice much of anything. The idle will just remain the same and not drop from the extra load. When I turn mine on all I notice is a small fluctuation when it first engages.

+1 By the book. Don't just turn the screw to raise or lower the idle.
