Sorry its been so long since I had mine off. But I don't think its hard. I had spent time recarpeting and replacing the back board. Then I got careless and left them in a corner and busted the board. I was angry and just bought new ones.

But anyways its either stapled or hog ringed on there. I think its stapled though. You should be able to pull the staples then restaple the new one. If you have the panel off you should be able to tell. I think it only took me a few minutes to take off.

the carpeted panel is stapled to the main panel or are you saying the carpet is stapled to it?

Its not that hard at all..just unbolt the arm rest, unscrew the power Window/door lock switches and unplug the harness, also remove the tiny piece by the side mirror...then just remove the door carefully and try not to ruin the little ”christmas tree” plug thingamajigys then lift it up and out...they do make a tool for removing the door whatchacallits..
