I would try to find out what parts of the kits are the same. Then see if you can buy the rest seperatley. Hopefully they can cross reference everything for you.

Hey I've been looking into buying a use kit! And found that supercharges online.com has everything you need to piece a kit together. Here is something to keep in mind, does the blower rotate counter clock wise? Because that's the kind ya need... $1500 is a steel so for another 600$ you should be able to taker er for a tune... That is another 600$ to complete the kit sorry...

Also look up "how to build an affordable supercharger kit" and look of the modded mustangs one... It will bring up a forum by "Shaun03gt" and he goes over everything to build a piece together kit. You might find his info helpful? And he also has link for beginners who are wanting to do this. I found his links, information, and etc, very helpful, check him out...
