351W header gasket installation question

Hey guys, I just replaced the driver's side header gasket on my 1995 Mustang 351W (with short tube hooker headers) and after I was done I started it up and it was smoking from the header, didn't smell like oil, more like a burnt rubber or composite smell. Is this normal when you install a new header gasket? I'm sure I tightened all the bolts correctly. Maybe the gasket was just seating? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is somewhat normal depending. I would just let it run for a little bit and see if it clears up. If it doesn't get better then you may have a problem
