loping?

So I went to check the status of my car at the shop today and saddly it wasn't going to be finished today. On to my question, so when I dropped it off I told them it was a stock 5.0 lx which is what the girl that owned it before me told me. I get there today and chad, the owner tells me "man I thought you said that thing was stock" I said it is and he says " it may look stock but its damn sure not" he said it lopes? What is that? He also said it's probably bored. He told me to come to the garage and check something out, they had a 96 svt turbo back there and he cranked it up and says see how this sounds its almost just like yours, except mine its just a hair deeper. So with all that being said, what does loping mean?

Just a term when your cam has a large lobe separation that causes (what I call) a really cool idle..basically someone swapped out your stock cam for an upgrade
This is good news if you like performance mods over stock!..

And being that it has a cam it may.also have different heads and intake too..unless they've torn then engine apart there's no way to tell if it's been bored out as this yeilds no real performance upgrades other than fresh pistons and rings..

Oh, I'm pretty sure its stock intake because it says 5.0 HO, I'm not sure about the heads though. It has a roll cage in it, but anyone could put that in just for looks and safety.
