What do you think...

-BBK SSI intake manifold kit,w/fuel rails..$350 looks brand new!

-Trick Flow intake manifold,i have two, both upper and lowers in excellent condition $350 each

Soooo my question is A) does the price sound alright? B)Would this setup go good with the explorer heads i plan on installing?

Well you will get alot of negative on bbk ssi, I have one and like it, most will tell you trick flow would be way to go, all in your choice. Trick flow is good ... Just saying

I wonder how much of an advantage the trick flows will have over the explorer intakes

I would get the number off bbk and call them. Because I heard they solved the fuel leak problem. But if its and older model then it may still have that issue.
I like the looks of the bbk. But I think either choice would be sufficient for gt40 heads. If you ever plan on upgrading your heads to trickflow, I would definitely go with the matching intake.
