Exhaust "gurgle"

When I accelerate, or shift after getting on it, rarely but sometimes the exhaust gurgles when I accelerate hard and let off or when I shift, sounds good but unsure if I'm doing damage or what, stock headers, offroad h pipe and flowmaster 44's, like I said it does rarely

It shouldn't do any damage I wouldn't think.
Not real sure about exactly what you are experiencing, but it may be because of the sudden change in RPMs.
Maybe you could catch it in a vid for us sometime so we could hear it?

You probably have some fuel/air delivery issues or a timing issue.

It would be hard to catch seeing as how it's random, I was just fearing it was running lean but I've read of sudden vacuum changes can cause that

I suppose that could be the case.
Just keep an eye on your engine and see if anything develops or if it worsens in frequency or sound, I guess.

When or if you can save up for a Wideband gauge or meter, then you can monitor your A/F ratio.
While they are a bit pricey, they are an invaluable tuning aid.

Your Chiltons manual will usually tell you what tools are needed.
You will need a wrench to loosen the distributor hold down bolt and a timing light.

I just took a spare China wrench. Put it in the vise and gave it a few wacks with a bfh. Now I have a certified dizzy wrench.

That works, I have several of those for various uses. Those "Made in China" wrenches are perfect for low tech modification.
I have a good Snap On wrench expressly for that purpose, but I can never find it when I need it.
