MPG varies depending on mods, gears, overall condition. Chances are you won't be able to tell because the odometer gear is busted... I have yet to physically see a 94-98 Mustang with a working odometer.. it's a common thing.

Go over the car inside, out, over, under, in between, all around, etc. It's the little things.. Take it for a test drive. I would also recommend, after the test drive, to do the OBD1 test for codes.

Oh, and if you have to pass emissions testing where you live, make sure everything is there and working.

..a rare specimen indeed. I'm not saying every sn95 has a broken odometer, I'm just saying it's a common "problem". LRS sells the odo gear to fix it, and is supposed to not get worn down like the OE unit. How many miles on that '97?

My '94 - stuck at 234449 (have it memorized..lol)
sister's 94, friend's 95, his wife's '96, other friend's '98...all stuck.

When I was helping my friend (who got the '95) look for a Mustang, I was going through CL, local classifieds, calling around, etc and found it to be very common.

If your sn95 odometer works, appreciate it! That is all.

It's all good. Look underneath the car for any signs of wrecks and/or damage of any kind. Carfax is your friend FYI!!!

Did the digital odometer displays start with the '99's?

Thanks for the info. I just got a 95 GT and the odometer does not work and I did not know it was a common problem.

158000 still working (knock on wood) Probably could've started own thread for that. I've seen lots that don't work.

Yep, I always hear about sn95 cars saying the same thing. Where's the engineering flaw?
