Headlight Fog light switch HELP!!!

I own a 1989 mustang lx and the headlight switch locked up and is staying on. I've looked on the internet to find out how to remove it but I can't find a how to anywhere. I've got everything apart even the wire connecter but I can't seem to find out how to remove the switch...

The problem is that its stuck and I can not turn it off I had to disconnect the harness to turn it off of I knew how to remove it I could fix it. I just don't know how its in such a awkward position I can't see behind it I don't want to completly take the column out, but if I have to I will.

There are two little push tabs on either side of it, you can push the two on the left side to get it out.

You can get a new switch off eBay for $20-$30. I just replaced mine I launched hard at track and it flew in my lap. If its stuck it's broke break the switch pull out and replace

If you really want to you can unscrew the bottom of dash and remove then in bolt the instrument cluster and remove from behind but being you want to change the switch anyway use a big ol flat head screwdriver and break the toggles off and pull it out after pushing the tabs in

I don't want to break it the switch there is nothing electrical Wong with it. I don't want to waste money when I know I can fix it. I'm just going to file down the excess plastic that's making the switch stick. Thanks for all the help though

Switch is out, but Ill have to buy a new one. I hate not being able to fix things... I had to completely remove the steering column and found a lot of dust and dirt from the last 22 years. You have to expect things to break and be dirty it is older than me. I'm just happy I could get it out thanks for the help all of you.
