Quick HP Question.

Found a fox body online that a buddy of mine is interested in. Im just lookin for guesstimates as to if you guys think the numbers the seller is throwing around could be accurate as he doesn't have any dyno sheets for his claims. Now i understand there are a million factors that go into HP numbers. Which why I'm just trying to get a round about idea if they COULD be accurate. Car is as follows:

91 GT. 47k original miles.
Stock bore 302
Completely forged internals
Trickflow upper and lower
Bbk longtubes and full exhaust
SCT 4 tune with 4 being the most aggressive
All tunes are for 93octane
Electric fan
70mm tb
Bbk cai
Vortech v3 sci running & 8lbs
Anderson powerpipe
Snow methanol injection kit

That's about all the major performance upgrades. Seller says the car makes 452 at the wheels. Once again I'm just seeing if you guys think that's an attainable number with these upgrades. What do you guys think?

I'm not big on vortec but depending on heads an cam I would say yes it is possible. But let someone the turbo/SC knowledge comment.

I agree with cap. If it has stock heads its not making over 350 probably. With good heads and matched cam it is possible. But still kinda high for only 8 lbs or boost. Just my guesses though, as I'm no expert. But even if its less than he says I'm sure its still a fun ride.

As far as heads the cars got a set of twisted wedge 170s. Cam is a Trickflow trackmax hydraulic roller 283/291, .499/.510

Re: Quick HP Question.

Hm, the cam seems a bit small to pull 450 horses. I'm not saying no, since it does have a SC, but I'm thinking that's at the crank?

EDIT: I didn’t realize the duration. Thats long...so yes, those numbers could be accurate (but again crank is what Im thinking).

It's believable. I would think that's a little high as in like the 30-40 hp range for a stock head and cam but I'm no expert in meth injection to know for sure
