Cuts out on sharp turn???

Hey guys I just bought an 89 LX 5.0 I love it except when I take a sharp or consistent right turn the car cuts out for a few seconds. Then it kicks back in.. It seems to only happen when I have less than half tank. Any ideas?

Lol yes it's a ****ty design by ford engineers.. Most all foxes do it.. You can drop your rank and make a better pick-up line or just keep it full

Not all foxes do it I'm sure.. but I've had 3 4 eye cars and every single one has but it docent seem to be a prob with any of the 87' and up cars. But with hard enough right turns it will slosh away from the pump and sputter if around 2 1/2 gallons or a quarter tank.. Never have a prob in my 90 though!

Maybe it was the different pump setup for the carbed models?

Baffling in the tank problems are what I'm thinking.
It's not a problem on my 86, but it was EFI and not carbed.

Check the baffling in the tank. The baffling may of rusted off and is now floating in the tank. My 90 did this had to drop the tank to figure it out

I appreciate the knowledge everyone. It definitely only cuts out when I'm less than half full I've found. I ran it pretty low and it completely died on me had to restart. That was a first

Actually now that I think about it, if I am really low and hit a corner hard I will have cut out before to. It never clicked in me before cause I was still having other trouble shooting issues at the time
