Other than changing the reach and position it is not going to feel any different.

Yeah, I got it as a creature comfort. I hate ordering things online because I get too anxious waiting and jump up to what ever fed ex or ups truck I see.

It's installed today. It feels great because it's higher and easier to reach. I had a short shifter from hurst and I had to reach really far. I love it and makes my stang feel more badass! The only bad thing about this kit is the shifter boot, it feels cheap, in thinking of swapping it out for a more durable hurst one. I'll post a pic in the morn as it is too too dark now.

Hey Trojan, what would a shifter base from hurst do to my shifting? I've seen complete kits with the base and all.

Both of them are from hurst but the one I installed today is like a classic one. I'm keeping my old one in case I want to short shift again.

I honestly don't know much about the Hurst shifters.
My preference is the Pro 5.0.
It increases the accuracy of your shifts and has stops to prevent you from over shifting and bending the shift forks inside the transmission.
I have had mine in use for over 10 years and it still works flawlessly.
