300 HP

What does it take to get a stock 5.0 to get to 300 horsepower and if you add a turbo how much can the engine take before it blows

It only takes the turbo, 8-12lbs depending on your engines integrity .

400-450 to stay somewhat safe.

A stock 5.0 to 300rwhp huh that will require some boost or alot of spray but it's possible no prob.. I try to limit my 5.0 right under 500rwhp. That is about the max they can handle.. But I've seen guys make 600 but it won't last long

That's what I plan to test with my stock block 306.
Shooting for 600+ HP and seeing how long it will last with "moderate" use.

I put down a tad over 300 to the wheels with twisted wedge heads, trick flow track heat intake, fms b303 cam, long tubes with off road x pipe and the assorted accessories.
