Head gaskets

Ve been looking at head gaskets and I've noticed that ford racing gaskets have small holes on one side of the gasket and all the other brands don't. Will I have to drill out these small holes if I get a brand other than ford racing? Thank you

Re: Head gaskets

Are you sure the gaskets you looked at are not just flipped end for end and the holes are on the other end?

Those are probably "steam holes" and drilling them in if they are missing might be a good idea.
