gas gauge

My gas gauge doesn't work but the light turns on when low fuel so I don't know

its usually the sending unit. but not sure if the light still working is related?

Sorry, but the sending unit or a wire to it are the most likely culprit. It could be the dash gauge, but those failing are pretty rare.

Well, not being able to physically see or test it, that's difficult to say.
If you have multiple gauges acting up, there is a resistor (?) on back of the panel that can get out of adjustment or go bad. I would start with that.

If you don't have one get a Chiltons manual with the wiring diagrams so you can trace the wiring if you need to.
Remove the gauge panel and post a good, clear picture of the backside.
